Playground gear in Crombie Park upsets local resident

Print this story

Tiny Perfect Park named for our Tiny Perfect Mayor (David Crombie) suffers a loss I’m talking about the loss of valuable green space due to the installation of a swing set in our little bit of park between George and Frederick Streets.

Imagine my surprise, then, when one day I came out of my building to discover a great ugly hole had been dug in the park.

The next call I made was to Councillor McConnell’s office to find out if they knew anything about it.

The councillor’s assistant told me a swing set was proposed for the site, but that no construction was to proceed until there had been public consultation.

- Theresa Wojtasiewicz

Editor’s Note: Coun. Pam McConnell says SLNA discussed and approved it, and that there were other public consultations about the park equipment.
