Louis Palmer rolls into Downtown with his solar-powered taxi

Deputy Mayor Joe Pantalone welcomed Swiss-citizen Louis Palmer to Toronto and took a ride in the solar taxi he’s driving around the world to raise awareness about global climate change and promote the use of solar energy.

Mr. Palmer’s world tour began in July 2007 and will see him cross five continents with the solar taxi, which uses almost 100 per cent Swiss technology.

The solar taxi will be on display at the Canadian National Exhibition until August 27.
